Get Nabla
Core and Machines are free for 30 days while online checkout is being set up
We are not taking payment yet. Until online checkout opens, both Nabla Core and Nabla Machines are issued as a free 30-day licence - every feature, one seat, no card and no invoice. The figures on the pricing page are what they will cost when checkout opens; nothing is charged before then. Whichever edition you want, it is the same short exchange below, and it takes about two minutes.
30-day trial - free
The full Machines module for 30 days: every solver capability, both parametric machine builders, the Python API and MCP server, no watermark and no mesh limit. This is the same licence as "Nabla Machines" below - if you are not sure which you want, take this one.
How to get your licence
A Nabla licence is tied to the machine it runs on, so we need a small request file from that machine before we can issue one. Nabla writes it for you.
1. Install Nabla
Run the installer from download.html. Every download is the same binary - Free, Core and Machines are all unlocked by the licence, not by which installer you ran. Install it on the machine you actually want to work on.
2. Open Help > Licence…
In the Nabla menu bar: Help → Licence…. With nothing activated it shows "Nabla Free" and the 25,000-node CORE feature set.
3. Export request.nbreq
Open the "No internet access?" section and press
"Export request file". Nabla writes
request.nbreq and prints the full path it used, so you
can find it. Leave the licence key field empty - you do not have a key
yet, and this file does not need one.
4. Email it to us
Attach request.nbreq to an email to
info@nabla-fem.com, say which
edition you would like and who you are, and send it. The buttons above
open that email ready for you to attach the file. We reply with a
response.nblic licence file, normally the same working
day.
5. Import our reply
Save response.nblic in the directory the dialog named
in step 3, then press "Import response file". Or
paste the token we sent straight into the field below it and press
"Activate from token" - the two are equivalent.
6. Done
The dialog shows your edition and expiry. From here Nabla verifies the licence locally: starting up, meshing, solving and opening your models never touch the network. Details and troubleshooting are on the activation page.
What is in the request file: a hashed fingerprint of the machine and nothing else - no name, no address, no contents of your models. It is only how a licence is bound to one computer. See our privacy policy.
No mail app? Nothing will happen when you press a button above - many browsers have none set up. Write to info@nabla-fem.com from whatever you normally use instead; the "Copy our address" buttons put it on your clipboard. Perpetual licences, site licences, and academic and student licences are supplied on enquiry to the same address. Use of Nabla is subject to our Terms & Licence.
